Once Upon A Time, S4E7: “The Snow Queen”

Spoiler thoughts:

  • Enter Charlie Brown’s Kite-Eating Tree.
  • Oh hey, maybe David could give Robin some pointers on the differences between true love and marriage.
  • Will no one give Elsa a pair of pants?
  • That was a pretty unconvincing “you got me.”
  • He is totally supposed to look like Alan Tudyk.
  • Why, in God’s Name, would you let Regina keep the book.
  • By this logic, shouldn’t Regina be one of their sisters too?
  • I feel like Rumple must have been advertising in the Enchanted Forest Yellow Pages.
  • Oh look, it’s Will Scarlet. Someone must need an opportunity to internally monologue.
  • Well that was unfortunate.
  • Well actually, Snow, it was mostly just you failing the fear test.
  • Maybe Gerda would have been more likely to take her hand if she put the gloves on first.
  • Actually, it was all Gerda’s fault from the beginning, since she was the one suggesting the Rumple gambit.
  • I guess if you deal away your ribbon fail safes for gloves, you should maybe put them on once in awhile.

Once Upon A Time, S4E6: “Family Business”

Spoiler thoughts:

  • For such well-read people, they don’t seem to have a lot of sense.
  • Belle and Gold. Most awkward couple of Storybrooke.
  • Actually, they’re a little better at taking memories than giving them back, in Arendelle
  • #TeamKristoff
  • Hee. Captain Guy-Liner.
  • Good Lord, Elsa is the only one in Storybrooke that hasn’t seen Anna.
  • Seems hard to fall in love with someone who’s basically comatose.
  • Oh, wow. Anna’s the worst climber ever.
  • I guess the question would be, does Belle have the real dagger? Or the plastic knock-off?
  • How on Earth would Emma know if that writing is from this world? Did she go to runaway archeology school or something?
  • You would think, all that time alone in the castle, Anna would have looked up her family tree.
  • Well, not a shining moment for Belle.
  • Ew. She’s hugging him right on the bleeding cut.
  • OMG. The Enchanted Forest would have no history whatsoever if anyone ever spoke to each other.
  • Storybrooke: Town of inbreeding.

One Upon A Time, S4E5: “Breaking Glass”

Spoiler thoughts:

  • Ok, lets see if Regina’s still mad.
  • Yep, still mad.
  • Man, Sidney is the epitome of the “raw deal.”
  • Actually, Will Scarlet doesn’t have it all that much better.
  • Ha! Josh Dallas talked about going to Asgard!
  • The Sisterhood of Magical Pants.
  • Time to see what she can do/to test the limits and break through.
  • Wait, how did Charming head off in the exact direction that Scarlet was sitting there out in the open loudly digging, and not notice him?
  • Well, it’s not like Regina doesn’t have a smidge of a point there.
  • Elsa. So much power, so few powers of deduction.
  • Are you sure you wanna build a snowman?
  • I have no idea what Scarlet’s point in this show is. So far, he’s basically just a punctuation to conversations the characters are having with themselves.
  • Regina. Still not used to the idea of not being the queen.
  • Emma’s a lot bigger on forgiveness than she used to be.
  • Sidney’s a champ on betting on the wrong horse.
  • I am not entirely certain I believe that Regina doesn’t want to kill her.
  • That is a big close-up. You do not want a zit on the day you shoot that.

Posts A’Plenty!

So a short hiatus of posting here occurred, but not for nothing!  Posts went flying elsewhere.

First, Halloween happened:

I was not ready.

Were you ready?  I went to ScareLA and blogged about it, but was sadly caught flat-footed as I am with virtually every holiday.

Next up, Marvel decided to hold a brief event down at the El Capitan, in which they outlined their plans for World Domination by means of cinematic release.  Personally, I welcome our new Feige Overlord.

Say "Feige" loud, it's like music playing.

Then, Disney released “Big Hero 6!”  I have been anticipating this picture since I first saw some of the concept art during their press events for “Frozen,” so this was pretty exciting.  I went to the press conference and subsequently reviewed it.  TL;DR:  I liked it!  Baymax is the cutest.

As if that weren’t enough, I then grabbed my handy Baymax backpack, and headed to Japan, where I toured around the Tokyo Disney Resort and Universal Studios Japan…

…Where I’ve been until earlier today.  But back now!  Jetlagged!  Off to sleep for a week!
